Über die Veranstaltung
Why does European capital so often go elsewhere to grow? An investor, a legislator and a regulator compare investment cultures on both sides of the Atlantic.
Europe has the ideas, the talent and the savings, yet its most promising companies still tend to look across the Atlantic when they need to scale. With this panel, the Transatlantics Club steps away from its usual security and defense focus and turns to the economic foundations of Europe’s strength: how investment cultures in Europe and the US differ, and what Europe can learn from them.
Nora Frizberg, COO of Speedinvest, knows what founders and investors need from the market. Lukas Mandl, Member of the European Parliament, speaks for the legislative side. We have also invited Mariana Kühnel of the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) to bring the supervisor’s view. Together they will discuss venture capital, European capital markets and the regulatory framework that shapes both.
The discussion will be held in English. The event is open to the public. Members are warmly invited to bring friends and colleagues.
