Fourth Annual Playwriting Festival: Pitch Night!

The time has come! We are once again accepting submissions for this year’s playwriting festival.

This year’s theme is ‘The price of passion’.

Everyone has something that is near and dear to them; yet, life often dictates where we spend our time and energy. Daily difficult choices pull us towards or away from what drives us. How difficult is it to distinguish our needs from our desires? Trotzdem ist die Menschheit anfällig für Leidenschaft.

Lassen Sie das Thema Sie dazu inspirieren, etwas Erstaunliches zu kreieren! Scripts DO NOT have to be completely finished at this point, but a general structure should be visible. Pitch night will take place on the 9th of February at New Visions Theatre’s rehearsal studio (Kovářská 939/4). So get your ideas rolling, you have the holiday months to prepare your pitch!

Regisseure, Schauspieler, Szenografen usw. sind herzlich eingeladen, der Veranstaltung beizutreten. As many will be on holiday, this will be the time to develop your ideas and start writing your play.
1st of June: Pitch night. Come with a description of your play with the elements listed above.
16th of July: A ROUGH BUT FUNCTIONAL DRAFT is to be presented. Drafts should be prepared to be presented to the producer and to potential directors to read.
13th of August: FINAL DRAFTS must be given. They can of course be presented sooner. The sooner the better for casting. At this point, scripts must be solidified. Zusätzliche Änderungen am Skript sind nicht erlaubt. Auditions will take place based on need and availability.

Rehearsals will begin by September. Rehearsals are to be arranged by the respective directors of the shows and their teams. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt müssen die Theaterstücke in einem endgültigen Format sein und möglicherweise nicht geändert werden, um die Schauspieler und Regisseure zu respektieren, die an der Show arbeiten. Exact dates are to be announced as the time approaches.
