HORIZONTAL SOUND IMMERSION: HOŁUBOWSKA w/ MUCIÑO: LOVERS / LICHENS

Immerse yourself in a special electro-acoustic sound journey, exploring Deep Listening as a practice of connection and presence.

EN:

We invite you to a special electro-acoustic sound journey—an auditory experience inspired by the Deep Listening practices of Pauline Oliveros. In this session, we explore conscious listening as a form of active perception and deep connection with sound, space, and the body.

Through a combination of live-performed and electronically transformed sounds, an immersive sound field unfolds—one that invites you to listen not only with your ears, but with your entire body. By exploring both external and internal sound, we create a space for attentiveness, resonance, and collective listening.

our upcoming horizontal sound immersion will host:

HOŁUBOWSKA w/ MUCIÑO: LOVERS / LICHENS

The project explores symbiosis as a primary evolutionary mechanism, be it collaboration, love, or mutual aid. The somatic score developed by Hołubowska is organised like an oracle card, allowing different configurations and braiding. During live performances, Muciño (bassoon and wind instruments), Holubowska (voice and electronics), and the AI RAVE models create a symbiotic system, interpreting the instructions and convolving the sounds like a lichen. Bassoon, voice, and archival singing create a porous lace on the verge of intimacy between species.
