Women in Aerospace Europe Regional Network Austria (WIA-Europe Austria), in collaboration with the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), is pleased to invite you to an exclusive networking event in Vienna, bringing together professionals, researchers, students and enthusiasts with a shared interest in security and defence.

As the European space sector continues to evolve, the connection between space policy, security and defence is becoming increasingly important. This event offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into these developments, discover the work of ESPI and exchange perspectives with people from across the sector.

What to Expect

• Get to Know ESPI: Learn more about the European Space Policy Institute, its mission, research activities and contribution to European space policy.
• Expert Insights on Security & Defence: We are delighted to feature Giulia Pavesi, Lead on Security & Defence at ESPI, who will introduce ESPI's work and share insights into its current research priorities with special focus on security and defence in the space sector.

Networking & Exchange

• Connect with professionals, researchers and fellow space enthusiasts in a welcoming and informal setting. Enjoy conversations, exchange ideas and build new connections over drinks and light refreshments.

Registration Information

• Attendance is limited to 30 participants: To ensure a meaningful networking experience, places are strictly limited and advance registration via Eventbrite is required.
• Important – GDPR Requirement: All participants are required to complete and sign the event's data protection form prior to attending. This is mandatory for participation.
• We kindly ask you to register only if you genuinely intend to attend. If your plans change, please cancel your registration in advance so that someone else can take your place.
• Attendees with disabilities or accessibility needs who require additional assistance are kindly requested to contact us at [email protected] at least three days before the event so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
  *Attendees with disabilities are welcome to bring an accompanying person, who must also be registered in advance.
