With Jamaican jazz and solid reggae grooves, Wood In Di Fire make the dancehall go wild during their live sessions. What began as a jam project by musicians from various Berlin bands has developed into a permanent formation. But the session idea is still alive: The band members and guests bring a wide variety of influences from reggae, jazz, ska, Latin and Afro-Beat and thus always provide surprising kicks. On numerous tours through Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Hungary and Switzerland, Wood In Di Fire thrilled their audience with their extraordinary, intercontinental, musical fusion on driving reggae beats and jazzy grooves. Since the project started in 2000, Wood In Di Fire has traditionally played in Berlin's "Schokoladen". The reggae jam, which still takes place monthly today, quickly went from being an insider tip to an established date for the Berlin reggae scene.

Seit vielen Jahren eröffnen Wood in di Fire unseren Allnighter.

20 years of Everything Crash – we're a bit proud. But we are even prouder of the line-up for our anniversary weekend on September 12 and 13 at Schokoladen in Berlin. And I'm happy to be able to present it to you now. For many years, Wood in di Fire have been opening our allnighter. Of course, it is clear that they will deliver again this Friday. Immediately afterwards, the turntables continue - with Kingston Headroll, who has long been putting on what is perhaps the most beautiful open air in Berlin with live music and wonderful DJs with "Reggae in the Grass". Benny Blues and Lord Hammond are also there. With their "Funky Kingston" all-nighter, they have turned the Milchbar in Kreuzberg into a new place to go - and are already celebrating their two-year anniversary there in September. On Saturday you will have the rare – and perhaps the only – opportunity to experience the Floorettes live on stage once again. The Berlin soul institution was founded in 2008, and their album "Pocket full of Soul" is still spinning on many a turntable today. It's not quite as rare to see BossK in Berlin's nightlife: For an incredible 29 years, he has been one of the faces of ReggaeXplosion, Berlin's longest-serving reggae all-nighter. And then there is "We got Soul", a collective of very fine people with equally fine records. First at home in Bassy, it later moved to the hotel in Kreuzberg for many beautiful years. With Daniel Graz and Marcus Wolf we have a small delegation on the decks. We are very excited to share the weekend with these great musicians, DJs and friends. And we hope you'll be there too!
