Tom DiCillo, Brit., 2025 (documentary 2009), 96 min., English. ver., Czech. tit.
Grammy Award-winning Tom DiCillo's film features rare archival footage and recordings of The Doors' performances from their beginnings in 1965 to Jim Morrison's death in 1971. The director, peering into the world of fame, drugs and alcohol associated with The Doors, has created an unadorned portrait of the group and especially of its singer Jim Morrison, who with his brief with his turbulent life, he most deserved the contradictory reputation of the band, inspiring several generations. Commentary on the film was voiced by Johnny Depp. The film will be released in theaters together with a special introduction and a new recording of the song "Riders on the Storm". In collaboration with the non-profit organization Playing For Change, it will feature John Densmore, Robby Krieger and other special guests at various exotic locations around the world.
NOTE: Season tickets cannot be redeemed for this special performance.
