new DEPOSIT
New - deposit is a pedagogical interaction of students of the Department of Fine Arts and Intermedia of the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University in Košice, who actively enter the collection fund of the gallery - museum, supporting the dialogue between the classics of Slovak fine art and the contemporary world of culture lovers. Walter Benjamin drew attention to the loss of the aura of a work of art, today modern world galleries are professionally analyzing the possibilities of preserving works of art, technically, conceptually - programmatically. Our situational model thematizes the given exceptional collection - represents the method of "rescue" in an adequate form - presents the site specific installation of the original masterpieces. In the "new" deposit, together with the alternative solution of accurate photographic documentation of the originals in the limited space of the Vojtech Löffler Museum, Lyotard's cultural situation of post-postmodernity will be created, where communication with the past will become most relevant. KvuaI adepts draw attention to the fragility of cultural identity and the responsibility of contemporary artists to preserve cultural heritage.
