The theme of the September discussion from the 1+1 cycle will be the cultural and natural wealth of Slovakia. The invitation to the library was accepted by historian Tomáš Grančay, author of the book forgotten castles, and publicist and tourist guide Dušan Guman, author of the publication of the Mountains and their highest hills. Together with our guests we will commemorate the former fame of Slovak castles and we will get to know the most beautiful corners of our country. 5 in Košice.
Come to take tips and inspiration for autumn trips. He also completed a study stay at foreign universities - Universität Bayreuth and Universität Wien. It deals with the profane history of the Middle Ages with regard to castelology. In his research, he is looking for the genius loci of lesser -known sites in terms of history and their architecture. He is the author of the book forgotten castles and several articles on the extinct castle locations. He worked as an expert in creating new didactic aids (textbooks) for teaching history at primary schools. In the past he worked as a lecturer at the castle in Stará Ľubovňa. He is the author of the publications of the crazy history of Prešov I and the mountains and their highest hills, as well as many articles published in regional and nationwide media. He climbed the highest peak of all 84 geomorphological units of Slovakia, which captured with his book. It is currently working for the Media Startup Prešov innovations and under the Medaria road brand offers guide and lecturing services focused on natural phenomena of the Carpathians, Night Sky and exceptional locations in the world.
