About event

On November 22, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., a new micro-gallery opens in front of the LOM space in Petržalka: Slúchadlo. The handset is a newly created micro-gallery that is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every month it presents custom-made sound installations that function as a form of communication with the environment and invite listeners to listen carefully. The headphone invites you to slow down and listen.

The headphone was created as an idea of a sound object that would interact with the surroundings of LOM, as well as its visitors. Jonáš Gruska already addressed this topic in one of his previous installations and decided to transform it into a miniature exhibition space. Therefore, he approached Olívia Ondreičková to curate a selection of authors who will present their works through the Slúchadlo. The headset will be placed directly in front of the LOM space in Bratislava's Petržalka and a new audio work will be presented every month.

The first author who will present his work is Adam Križovenský, a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In his work, he focuses on developing spontaneity and an intuitive approach to art, while systematically expanding his expressive possibilities across different media. He is engaged in a wide range of activities, from graphics, painting and sculpture to music, skateboarding and tattooing. An important moment in his work was the expansion of interest beyond the boundaries of working in bands to sound as a medium itself.

Listening starts from a simple element: breathing. The work calls for slowing down and a conscious return to the present. In silence, through the sound of breathing, space opens up for the perception of the smallest, often overlooked sounds that surround us. The earphone engages the listener in the work and transforms his own breath, movement or reaction into a part of the sound structure. The composition thus creates a circle of attention between the author, the listener and the environment, in which the boundaries between the creator and the viewer gradually disappear.

The piece has a length of 11 minutes and 44 seconds, so it will be played from 18:00, if you would like to come and listen to it undisturbed. The official opening starts at 19:00, 22 November 2025.

We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition.
