Day of Hope: 10th celebration for deceased children in the Forest of Remembrance
There are topics that are difficult to talk about in society. Losing a child is one of them. It often remains hidden behind the walls of our homes, even though it is a deep part of the lives of many of us.
We invite you to a place where this taboo disappears and where every memory and emotion has its safe place.
Accept the invitation to the jubilee 10th Day of Hope.
Who is the meeting intended for?
This celebration is an open space for everyone who is affected by this topic. Invited:
Parents who have lost a child at any age and stage of life.
Extended family, close friends and everyone who wants to support parents.
Professional public – therapists, palliative care and doctors.
What awaits us?
Together we will create a protected and supportive environment. We will sing and share or just listen. Together or individually we can create a flag. It will become a mirror of our current feelings - whether you are experiencing intense grieving or are in the phase of gradual integration of the loss into your life. Every stitch, color or word on the flag will be an expression of the path we are walking.
Why come?
We want to bring awareness to this neglected topic. We want to show that parents don't have to be alone in this, and give the public space the opportunity to relate to those who carry this difficult life experience.
Come share, create, keep silent or just be in the circle of those who understand.
