These are the Viennese Jazz & Genusstage Vienna Jazz Festival of the districts and are celebrating their 14th anniversary this year - District Jazz Days right on the doorstep of the people of Vienna.
Due to the great success of the last few years, the Jazz Day tour is going through many districts again, and there is also a Jazz & Enjoyment Day in Leopoldstadt this year - the Jazz Festival on the Danube Canal on the Agora stage, which appeals to all the senses appeals.
The best jazz acts in the country at the pulsating summer hot spot Donaukanal.
The Agora on the Danube Canal has proven to be an ideal location. Visual artists work on the site throughout the summer, and the sculptural works can also be seen.
Vienna's “first couple of Jazz” and their band present a varied and multi-layered musical experience in a class of their own, immersed in their signature sound of jazz seasoned with a pinch of world and they fascinate a large audience with their music.
Inspired by the groove-oriented Playing hard bop and with a good portion of blues, they serve urban jazz that bears their unmistakable signature and reflects the flair of the great jazz metropolises of Chicago, New Orleans and New York.
With songs that manage the balancing act between cool, relaxed and funky grooves, they immerse themselves in the jazz club atmosphere of the Big Apple.

The evening is rounded off with a reading. Literature Enfant terrible Christian Schreibmüller shocks – irritates with texts from his Cannibal Romance and from Reading by Christian Schreibmüller
