About event
The alternative and punctum report:
The Sonitus series has been accompanied by Punctum from the beginning, when it was founded by Tono Marušarz, from which it was taken over by Roman Oder and then Jan Starý. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, the other two will be taken care of by the other two and will be co -produced by the Puncta with the festival alternative, with which the Punctum has always been closely associated with.
On this occasion, we managed to arrange two musicians who combine eclectic scope with precise realization. Rojin Sharafi fuses experimental and club electronics with traditional Iranian music, cellist Leily Bordreuil, who has already played one of the major concerts of his history in Punct, uses electronic tool processing, widespread techniques and psychoacoustic phenomena. From the local scene the evening will be complemented by Brno Djka Anami, exceptionally with a live ambient set.

A diverse variety of creative methods like Leila Bordreuil. The New York cellist is an excellent classic instrumentalist and also controls extended techniques, then uses synthesizers and subjected to its tool by drastic electronic manipulations. Her specialty is the gaming procedures where her instrument creates sounds that theoretically should not be able to.
It is associated with its breakthrough album Not An Elegy (2021) with a record of two purely acoustic performances from the time of Lockdown, in which Cella comes out of incredible timbra. The tool sounds electronically, sometimes double or tripled, simulating ambient, there noise. Follow -up recordings then develop the connection of cells with electronics or mostly electronic creation, which is beautifully hallucinating, especially on last year's 1991, Summer, Huntington Garage Fire.
Bordreuil moves in the field of contemporary composed music, free improvisation and sound art, he has cooperation with Lea Bertucci, Susan Alcorn or Kim Gordon. She studied at the prestigious Bard College with Marina Abramovic or Zeena Parkins, but her approach also reminds of another teacher, a master of psychoacoustic manipulation of Maryanne Amacher.

In Vienna, a native of Tehran, a native of Tehran, approaches the creation of technical skills and systematic work with creativity - she studied composition and sound - and focuses on musical forms as the material of the sound itself. Her music meets contemporary sound design, the tradition of Western experimental electronics, club rhythms and folk Iranian music. It uses software, hardware, often tailored, and folk tools such as Santur dulcimer.
At the same time, the wild combination does not act as a fusion for fusion, but as a self -evident personal expression. And not just that. Maximalist, complex music could easily remain completely inaccessible, but the composer ensures comprehensibility and leaves or suggests stable elements under the compositions under the compositions. This helps to create a detailed, albeit unprofitable structures whose survey is intoxicating, whether they invite you to meditate or induce euphoria.

is DJka and producer active on the Brno scene. In addition to club genres, its selection moves through traditional music to Ambient, and it is in this direction that tends to be presented in Punct in a rare live set. To the extent of the only published RA track, it is possible to expect a sacral/esoteric ambient/drone not completely unlike an unnamed British post -industrial project, with solid psychedelic potential and completely in the spirit of EN's definition that ambient should offer not only functional background but also interesting listening.
More tells the interests of the musician. Anami studies sound design and multimedia technologies, the topic of her final thesis are imaginary sound landscapes. You can often meet it at AVA and Fungus, or its own Sancti series. “Who are you? Who am I? Who asks? 𝔰𝔭𝔦𝔯𝔦𝔱𝔲𝔰 𝔰𝔞𝔫𝔠𝔱𝔦 “
