Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Big Band Festival with the lecturer: Interior concert (Septet Bernadette) in the Tehnerhaus Bad Radkersburg!
Since its foundation as part of the first big band workshop 2011, the focus is on making music. The Septet Bernadette presents a diverse repertoire, from jazz standards to original to own compositions-all in masterful arrangements. The extraordinary interaction of the musicians: Every concert makes an experience inside.
The band combines some of the most renowned names of the Austrian jazz and big band scene: Wolfgang Schiefer, musical director of the festival, brings a breath of fresh air with its compositions and arrangements for big bands. Ingo Rieber, known across Europe, worked with greats like Peter Herbert and Jeff Ballard. Gernot Strebl enriches the ensemble with experience from projects with the Lungau Big Band and Hubert von Goisern. Pianist Gunther Schuller combines technical skills with artistic passion, while Gerhard Steinück inspires with his experience from orchestras. Karlheinz Miklin brings international flair with appearances in South America and Eastern Europe, and Martin Wimmer convinces with versatility. Singer Ulrike Tropper rounds off the ensemble with an impressive voice.
