We would like to invite you to the 12th National Conference of the Salvation Army, which will take place on May 20, 2025 in Prague.
For this year, we have chosen the topic:
abuse, exploitation and trading of people - protection of vulnerable persons in social services
Come with us to share knowledge and experience in this area that will identify the dangers of social services. We will be able to provide effective protection to these vulnerable groups through prevention, cooperation and knowledge.
At the conference, we can designate predators, their deeds, and above all, with our readiness to subsequently protect those vulnerable of us who are easily victims.
You can look forward to the following lectures:
◉ Mgr. Petra Zdražilová, Chief Director of the Section of Family Policy and Social Services at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs: Protection of vulnerable groups of people in social services.
◉ Mgr. Markéta Hronková, Director of La Strada: Abuse of the vulnerability of persons in a difficult social situation in trading in people and their exploitation.
◉ Mgr. Cristina Boušková, lawyer of the Office of the Ombudsman: Unregistered Facilities - Risks for Clients. Our colleagues from the Salvation Army in Holland will talk about the necessity of international cooperation and coordination. We will hear the current danger directed, among other things, towards the gay community, as well as warning stories about women from the Czech Republic enslaved in the Netherlands.
◉ Lt. Antonín Vavrda, National Center against Organized Crime: Legal and Organizational Framework of Activities of the Police of the Czech Republic in the fight against trading in people in the Czech Republic. Andrea Pekárková, physician of the Salvation Army: Impacts of exploitation on health. Lucie Stonová: Family - source of support or threat.
