Slovakia 14. March commemorates the anniversary of the establishment of the first Slovak state. It was a regime that proclaimed independence, but in fact he was subordinate to Nazi Germany, deprived his citizens of rights, persecuted minorities and participated in the Holocaust. Today, after 85 years, we are watching dangerous parallels - admiration for authoritarian leaders, weakening democracy, attacks on the media, justice and civil society. Why do some politicians relativize the crimes of the past? What lessons do we have to take from history to prevent recurrence of the same mistakes? And how can we protect the values ​​of democracy that is based on our company? Teacher
