Dear colleagues Colleagues!
This year we are organizing the “20th Symposium on Vocal Disorders in Singers and Actors”. This conference series looks back on a long-standing tradition. It took place for the first time in Berlin in 1990 under the direction of Prof. Wolfram Seidner. At that time I was part of the organizing team. The move to Vienna took place in 2004 with the retirement of Prof. Seidner. Every two years, specialists, experts, therapists, educators, interested parties and everyone who wants to learn something about the artist's voice meet to discuss the various aspects of the voice and exchange their experiences. This year's program of our voice symposium traditionally combines topics from research, clinical practice, voice training and practice.
The topics of presentations, discussion rounds and workshops focus on expanding knowledge on the diverse areas of the voice. Our goal is to bring together all professional disciplines that have to do with voice training, voice training, voice treatment, voice presentation and voice research on these days. Only exchanging ideas with each other can help us move forward and promote the topic of “voice” in our society today.
