Park Chan-wook, South Korea, 2025, 139 min., Korean-English. ver., Czech. tit.
Man-su has everything he dreamed of: a stable job at a prestigious paper company, respect, a happy family, and a big house with a greenhouse full of bonsai. But when the paper mills are bought by the Americans and Man-su loses his job, his perfect world begins to fall apart. The only way to get everything back in the corporate world? Eliminate competition. The bizarre and dark story shows how far a decent person can go when his patience runs out and really... There is no other option. Master director Park Chan-wook (Old Boy, Komorná) comes with a black comedy starring Lee Byung-hun (The Squid Game), which with its subversiveness and visual precision hit the audience at festivals in Venice and Toronto.
