Engulfed (Dark Descent Records/Me Saco Un Ojo): the first Northern Italian appearance of one of the most relentless entity in Istanbul’s ever terrific death metal bulwark, an infernal riff-driven assault. Sharing members with Hyperdontia, Diabolizer, Burial Invocation…
FFO: Dead Congregation, Incantation, Immolation, Morbid Angel
Defacement (Unorthodox Emanations/Avantgarde Music): Netherlands-based, hideous entity which bends the standard definition of black/death metal with calling dissonance and unpredictable progressions.
FFO: Suffering Hour, Altarage, Ulcerate, Deathspell Omega
Siderean (Edged Circle Productions): formerly active as Teleport, this quintet from Slovenia plays with subtle ambient suggestions to create a progressive, forward-thinking cosmic landscape, often ridden with an unsettling thrashing of the death metal canon.
FFO: The Chasm, Cryptic Shift, Morbus Chron, Obliteration
