About event
Pablo Murgier (Argentina).
Pablo Murgier (*1988, La Plata) was born in Argentina, but has been living in Paris since 2017. However, he did not deny the music of his native country. He brought her stored in his own heart. In addition, tango lovingly enriches the elements of jazz improvisation. With the Pablo Murgier Ensemble, he won the World Tango Orchestra Award in 2017. And it goes without saying that he can tango masterfully even without the accompaniment of his orchestra. You can convince yourself of this on the solo piano album Los Espejos (2019).

Yonathan Avishai (*1977, Tel Aviv) grew up not only in Israel, but also in Japan. And later he settled, like his younger instrument colleague Pablo, in France. Even in this we can look for the roots of his originality and novel musical procedures, freely drawing from various cultures. "His sound and style are radical. He takes breaks where you wouldn't expect them," they wrote about him with exaggeration. Yonathan established himself as a regular member of trumpeter Avishai Cohen's band, with whom he released five albums on the style-making ECM label. He also played with Omer Avital. At the same time, he is an experienced soloist and leader.
