About event
At the beginning of the last century, there were dynasties of Romani musicians in many villages of Romania, who satisfied the needs of folk music not only in their own village, but in the entire region. These music centers were located in Bánffyhunyad, Méra, Bogártelka or Váralmás.
Primate István Varga "Kiscsipás" also started learning the craft from his father and grandfather. At the age of twelve, he started whistling melodies and when he got his hands on the violin, he already knew all the melodies, he just had to learn how to play them on the instrument.
Since then he has been traveling the whole world with music from Kalotaszeg and now brings this tradition to us in the cast:
Varga "Kiscsipás" István - violin
Orsós Tamás - viola
Hanusz Zoltán – double bass
