Meaning not only occurs within words, but in the reactions between them. As they collide, context becomes the catalyst that determines their paradoxes, contradictions, and ambiguities. 3hdโs โHeavy Rotationโ group exhibition at Haus der Visionรคre borrows the broadcasting term for songs that get a lot of airplay and splits it apart, examining how the opposing forces of these individual elements create coherent connections.
Thereโs a conceptual friction to the two words of โHeavy Rotation,โ where the tension between gravity and orbit looms large. One conjures a sense of intensity and gloom, of weight and immensity, while the other elicits a spirit of energetic and dynamic (if fixed) motion. Separated, these words reveal the paradox that motion does not equal change, just as stillness does not equal stasis, together, they embody itโcreating a term where weightiness becomes the very engine of endless circulation.
