41. Finkenbach festival: The Woodstock in the Odenwald 2025 on August 8th and 9th with Kraan, Guru Guru, Peter Pankas Jane, Alex Auer & Banada, Kant, Dirty Sound Magnet, Color Haze, Dr. Wiggle & the Radio and Rosalie Cunningham. What once started as a hippie event became the cult site of the Krautrock and the oldest herb rock festival in Germany. The old heroes are back in 2025, but newer musical paths are also followed.
It was in 1976 when a festival of the Finkenbach fire brigade threatened to fail because the chapel canceled at short notice. Four Wahl-Finkenbacher spontaneously offered their help: Mani Neumeier and his band Guru Guru. The Finkenbach festival was born. And received the name Guru-Fescht in the village. FC Finkenbachtal has also been on board since 1988 and takes care of the meals. After the second attitude in 2005 due to massive police checks and the corresponding decline in the number of visitors, the Revival 2008 took place. Since then, the festival has been running to this day-albeit with the Corona interruption 2020/21, when only two smaller concerts took place. That is why the Finkenbach Festival 2025 has been around for 48 years, but it only takes place for the 41st time. Camping with a tent or motorhome is included in the admission price.
