50 years of independence. Art and literature of the Portuguese-speaking countries of Africa
50 anos de independência. Art, music and literature from the African languages of Portuguese language
GERMAN:
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the independence of the PALOP (Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa, the five African countries with Portuguese as their official language), the diverse cultures of the independent nations that have existed since 1974 are examined politically realigned and were also confronted with conflicts. The focus will be primarily on the role of art, music and literature in nation building and collective identities. Many works of art, songs and novels engage with the history and images that circulate between post-colonial countries and also create visions for the future against the background of current challenges. The close social, economic and political connections between Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Mozambique, São Tomé e Príncipe and Portugal form the common background against which postcolonial identities and artistic works are located to shape the legacy and ideas of independence.
among others with Márcio Carvalho (artist and curator, Lisboa), Manuela Sambo (artist, Berlin), Robert Stock (Institute for Cultural Studies, Humboldt University of Berlin) and Ineke Phaf-Rheinberger (Institute for Romance Studies, Justus Liebig University Giessen)
The event will be held simultaneously in Portuguese and German translated.

PORTUGUES:
A new version of contemporary art, music and literature, fascinating and magical things in tantos casos, na construction and the identidades coletivas. These are the themes of complexity, both estética and intencionalidade quereríamos abordar.
com Márcio Carvalho (artist and curator, Lisbon), Manuela Sambo (artist, Berlin), Robert Stock (Institute for Cultural Studies, Humboldt University of Berlin), Ineke Phaf-Rheinberger (Institute for Romance Studies, Justus Liebig University Giessen) and outr@s
O evento contará com tradução simultânea português–alemão.
