About event
https://www.dgppn.de/veranstaltungen/fachveranstaltungen/50-jahre-psychiatrie-enquete.html
No event has affected psychiatric care in Germany like this radically improved like the psychiatric survey. The DGPPN is celebrating the anniversary with a scientific ceremony in Berlin on October 9, 2025.
In the 1970s, the course was set for modern psychiatry in the Federal Republic of Germany - for a psychiatry that focuses on people and their recovery: The Bundestag voted to set up a psychiatric study. The Federal Minister of Health then appointed a commission that began its work in 1971 and over the next few years developed proposals for a comprehensive reform of psychiatric care. The commission's report was handed over 50 years ago, on November 25, 1975, and set in motion the largest psychiatric reform in the Federal Republic.
The DGPPN is therefore dedicating a scientific ceremony to this anniversary with input from research and practice, contemporary witness reports, political positions and sufficient space for discussions: What led to the establishment of the commission? How did it work, what questions were examined and what demands were developed? Which measures have been implemented - and what still remains to be done?
Following lectures, interviews and panel discussions, the event offers an opportunity for festive, private and professional exchange.
We cordially invite you to be there!
