The program of events

In the first part of the program dedicated to the 77 years of KBA, we will bring the events of 1947–1949, as described by Israeli new historian Ilan Pappé in his book Ethnic Palestine. The book was published last year in Czech translation by Alarm publishing house. The work will be presented by the editor of A2larma Saša Uhlová and other personalities, who are the theme of the fate of Palestine close. Dr. Bashar Shammled and Najed Awwad will bring us closer to the Palestinian culture and identity and present an effort to preserve the cultural heritage under the occupation and apartheid. Bashar Shamut will focus not only on the work of his parents, but also on his own work, which consists in the documentation and preservation of audiovisual cultural heritage - which is also a form of resistance under the circumstances. Dr. Shammut is the author of The Audiovisual Palestinian Heritage: Origin, Dispersion, and Digital Presernation - Preliminary Studies and Future Prospects. We will explain its meaning, diversity and symbolism. Each region of historical Palestines has its specific pattern - and you can try it and take it as a memory and memory of one of Palestinian towns, villages or regions. Culture and history. Already in 1937, the Committee for the Transfer of the Population was established. The plan to divide Palestine, approved by the UN in 1947 without the participation of Palestinians themselves, allowed mass expulsion of population and from the areas they were supposed to remain. The departure of the British administration was followed by a war in which the Zionist forces supported, among other things, armaments from Czechoslovakia, dominated 78 percent of the territory and expelled more than 750,000 Palestinians. Over 500 villages were burned, land and property were confiscated, the towns were renamed and the landscape was covered with a new symbolism. However,

Nakba did not end. It continues to this day in the form of cultural and historical eraction. The evening devoted to the 77 years of KBY will offer a view of these events and the current efforts of Palestinians to preserve and develop their culture, identity and memory. Often as a form of resistance. Ismail was expelled during the JAKBA and later became a "artistic face" of Palestinian resistance. His works reflect the pain of loss and hope for return. Tamim El-Akhal is one of the first formally educated Palestinian artists and captures memories of home, landscape and everyday life in Palestine. He works as an archivist, lecturer and consultant in Germany and the Arab world. Continues to reflect his parents and focuses on storing memory as a form of cultural resistance.
