Strategies for future investments in tight times.

99. ZEIT Forum Science: More with less - Strategies for future investments in tight times

Germany and Europe are facing a dilemma: While the economy is weakening and budget resources are limited, the financial challenges are constantly increasing. Trade policy risks such as new US tariffs and growing security threats are further exacerbating the situation. Nevertheless - or precisely because of this - pioneering investments are now essential: in sustainable competitiveness, social cohesion and climate neutrality.

How do politics, companies and science set priorities under these conditions? How can they rethink their roles to jointly finance sustainable solutions? What innovative approaches need to be developed so that every euro is invested more effectively?

We will discuss these pressing questions on December 2nd with Ralf Krauter (Deutschlandfunk), Andreas Sentker (DIE ZEIT) and experts from science, society and politics. Included are:

  • Jochen Andritzky, co-initiator of the Zukunft-Fabrik.2050
  • Hans-Martin Henning, former head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems and professor of solar energy systems at the University of Freiburg
  • Florentine Schwark, junior professor for
macroeconomics and financial markets at the Humboldt University of Berlin

Im Afterwards, experts at thematic tables deepen the perspectives with practical ideas and concrete solutions. Ask your questions to the experts at:

  • Zukunft-Fabrik.2050, an open and independent platform for positive visions and shaping the future that this into the dialogue between the public, politics, science and business
  • Common Good Economy Germany, a movement that wants to implement an ethical economic model was to seek new solutions and a new overarching paradigm for the major challenges of climate change, growing inequality and globalization as well as a redefinition of the role of the state

Admission: 5:00 p.m. | Start: 6:00 p.m.

Live broadcast on Deutschlandfunk - entry is no longer possible after 6 p.m.
