999: Mladé ženy z prvého transportu - premietanie a diskusia

Bestseller's author and historian Heather Dune Macadam adapted her award -winning book 999 to a strong documentary film that illuminates a painful real story. In March 1942 there were almost 1,000 young Slovak Jewish girls, mostly teenagers deceived by their government that they were going to a voluntary work event - instead they were illegally deported to Auschwitz as part of the first Jewish transport to the Nazi extermination camp. Macadam, however, does not focus exclusively on the suffering and death that most girls have experienced - instead tells the stories of a small group of those who have survived in spite of everything, even in unimaginable conditions lasting more than three exhaustive years. footnote in history.
