"And yet they were here" is a story about Poland in the early 1990s, where the band Green Day came - today a world star of pop culture, then one of many American punk rock bands .
The trio from sunny California visited three Polish cities in a gloomy November time: Gryfino, Bydgoszcz and Białystok. The organizer of the Bydgoszcz concert, Krzysztof Kornak, tells how it really was, debunking the myths and legends that have been circulating around Green Day's Polish tour for thirty years. The document
also includes statements by, among others: members of the Bydgoszcz crew organizing
concerts of hardcore punk bands in the 1990s.
The whole thing is interspersed with fragments of the concert and interview with the band, which were recorded and - most importantly – to this day
preserved and made available by Grzegorz Kazuro.
