About event
It is often said that "a book is always better". But really? Or are there cases when the film simply beats the original, and dare we say it?
Reviewing the whimsical, century-long history of book adaptations, it becomes clear, among other things, whether the movie was "the real thing", what happens when an author hates the adaptation so much that he turns to lawyers, and whether anything should be changed to a world literary classic before it goes to the cinema screen.
Gábor Kulcsár, the speaker, is a journalist for Vasárnap family magazine. He wrote his thesis on the relationship between film and literature, and since then he has been dealing with popular culture - he is convinced that any topic can be important and relevant if we want it enough.
📚📽️ If you have a strong opinion on the subject, if you secretly support an adaptation or simply want to tune in to the Christmas movie-watching and book-reading period, then this is your place!
📍 Location: Pub 33 (Štefánikova 33, 949 01 Nitra)
📷 Photos may be taken at the event, which will be used on the college's communication interfaces. With your participation, you consent to the public release of recordings of you.
