A2+ #133: City Dragon (CA/FR)

City Dragon is the solo project of Paris-based Canadian experimental musician and promoter Max Kaario. In their heterogeneous performances, they try to demonstrate that sexy tropical loops can also be created from sewage mud. He uses drums, saxophone, flute, xylophone and in recent years has also incorporated singing into his performances and recordings. The result is psychedelic songwriting stretching between geeky organization and playful chaos. He organizes a cycle of experimental concerts cmptrmthmtcs in Parisian clubs.

A2+ is a series of the cultural fortnightly A2, which has been running since 2012. It focuses on marginal or frontier areas of contemporary music, especially on experimental approaches, free improvisation, various hybrid expressions and subversive forays into the territory of pop.
