15 years after his celebrated concert at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele, accordion virtuoso Richard Galliano is finally returning to Berlin!
In October 2025, Richard Galliano will release the new edition of his legendary album "Viaggio", which was originally released in 1993. A timeless musical journey full of poetry and emotions that marked a turning point in his international career.
When listening to the studio recordings again, Galliano felt a deep mix of joy and nostalgia, especially in memory of the late musicians Pierre Michelot and Charles Bellonzi, accompanied by the virtuoso guitarist Biréli Lagrène. Thanks to sound engineer Rémi Bourcereau, rare alternative recordings have been discovered, allowing a new look at this creative masterpiece.
This New Viaggio is a tribute to the past and at the same time a bridge to the future, with a renewed ensemble that breathes new life into these timeless compositions.
"I am happy to continue this musical journey with new companions: Adrien Moignard on guitar and Philippe Aerts on double bass. Their talent and sensitivity give the compositions a new dimension." Richard Galliano
