About event
Our opening of the Adam Priecel exhibition, postponed due to illness, has a new date! See you with BEST FRIENDS 4EVER on Thursday 7.11. from 17:00 at Grosslingova 52.
Adam did not come alone. He brought the first one in the trunk of the car. Fortunately, no patrol stopped them. The second didn't come until a day later. He had to lie on his stomach the whole way, stretched across the seats. He has back problems. He seems fragile, he is crouched, he can barely stand. Now he is leaning against the wall and staring at it. Motionless, speechless. He can stay there for hours. She, Adam claims it's him, but I see her in him. Sometimes even yourself. As if she mirrored me in some moments. For now, she just crouches quietly, she doesn't care where, she doesn't even move. I always get a little scared when I enter a room even though I know it's there. We can ignore each other for hours, but it still puts pressure on me. I'm looking forward to it being in place. Now that I'm writing about it, I feel a little sorry for them. Without Adam, they are not in their own skin and they just suffer me here in silence.
Adam Priecel @adampriecel (1997) currently lives and creates in Bratislava. This year he completed his master's studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava in the 3EAM studio under the supervision of Rastislav Sedlačík and Matej Fabian. He is engaged in drawing, painting and tattooing.
By transferring the drawing to other media, the author explores the relationship between the drawing and the body, as well as the relationship between the drawing and the painting canvas. Drawing captures, explains, materializes personal feelings and experiences. It is a diary of experienced (experienced) crises, milestones in life, scars that have been processed or are being processed. The process of drawing, painting, tattooing serves the author as a ferryman through mental or physical pain.
