ADIEMUS: Songs of Sanctuary

Music does not need to be understood to affect you.

The cycle Adiemus - Songs of Sanctuary by Karl Jenkins works with language in its own way – instead of a specific meaning, it puts the very sound of the human voice in the foreground. This creates music that does not require us to know the language in which it is sung. The sound of the human voice is in the foreground.

The concert will offer a combination of choral singing, orchestra and rhythmic influences inspired by different cultures. Minimalism, expressive melody and work with the voice as an instrument are among the most characteristic features of Jenkins' work.

The choirs Puls and Coloreton under the direction of Silvia Młynarczyková and the Doubravan Chotěboř Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Jakub Pikla participate in the performance.

Come to a concert where the human voice serves as a musical instrument and let yourself be carried away by melodies that speak directly to soul.
