A haunted family house. But what if it's not the demons that drive the horror, but the family?
I don't believe in ghosts, I believe in family dinners.
A mother who is terrified of sleeping alone, but even more so of the possibility of a U-Haul. A father capable of making light of even an exorcism if he could make a sexist joke about it. Emo son admiring Foucault, benz, and finally kajda. A daughter who turns the family break-up into a paper for school (grammar: bad, trauma: excellent, nose: unforgettable).
50 square demons is a parody of horror films and sitcoms. At the same time, a campy conversational comedy focusing on the story of a family that, instead of therapy, calls in a medium for help. And yes, that house is really haunted. But admitting a ghost is easier than facing your demons. And it's always more convenient to haunt than to leave.
If you listen, you might hear the wood working. Clap, clap, clap. Uhhhhhh.
