Soprano ADRIANA BANÁSOVÁ made her debut on the boards of SND as Sister Genovieff and Nello in Puccini's Triptych. On our first scene, she regularly performs as the Second Woman (Rusalka/Dvořák), the Priestess (Aida/Verdi), Annina (La Traviata/Verdi), Tebaldo/Angel's voice (Don Carlo/Verdi), Marko (Krútňava/Suchoň), Júlia ( A tale of a happy ending/Zagar) and in others. The 2023/24 season brought her debut on the boards of the National Theater in Prague in the role of the First Forest Woman (Rusalka/Dvořák), in the upcoming 2024/25 season she will be playing Marienka (Janko and Marienka/Humperdinck) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni/Mozart) in the SND. in the 2025/2026 season, she made her debut in the role of Rusalka (Rusalka/Dvořák) at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest.
At the National Theater in Košice, she portrayed the character of Zerlina (Don Giovanni/Mozart) and Nannetta (Falstaff/Verdi). With the production of Falstaff directed by Oscar winner Jiří Menzel, she was successfully presented at the Summer Opera Festival in Sopron 2018 in Hungary and at the Opera 2020 Festival in Prague. She made her debut with the character of Bystrouska (The Adventures of the Vixen Bystrouska/Janáček) at the Silesian Theater in Opava. She also performed with the characters of Sister Genovieffy and Nelly at the Moravian-Silesian National Theater in Ostrava and as Papagena (The Magic Flute/Mozart) and Esmeralda (The Bartered Bride/Smetana) at the Banská Bystrica State Opera.
The year 2021 brought the recording of her debut album. Desire arias with piano accompaniment by Petr Pažický, published by the Real Music House publishing house.
The soprano has performed at many opera festivals, such as Smetanova Litomyšl 2019, Opera Prague 2017, the music festival Zámocké hry Zvolenské ("Youth in the Castle") or within the SND Continuity vocal series. She collaborated with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, Košice State Philharmonic, Brno Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, ŠKO Žilina, Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, Solamente Naturali Baroque Ensemble and others. place and three other prizes, including an invitation to perform at the Hungarian State Opera, in the same year she also became a finalist in the prestigious international competition Iris Adami Corradetti 2024 in Padua, Italy. She is also the holder of several awards from international singing competitions (Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary 2019 and 2015, International Singing Competition in Bologna 2018, Iuventus canti 2016). She is a finalist of the international singing competition Ferruccio Tagliavini 2022 in Deutschlandsberg, Austria. She participated in the international competition Riccardo Zandonai 2022 in Italy (semi-final), Ada Sari Vocal Artistry Competition 2021 in Poland (semi-final), further in the final rounds of the competition Hans Gabor Belvedere 2019 in Austria, Otto Edelmann Singing Competition 2016 in Vienna (semi-final) and Competition dell'Opera in Linz 2015 (semi-final).
Adriana Banásová studied singing at the Conservatory in Bratislava in the class of Dagmar Livorová, later she studied under the guidance of Zlatica Livorová. In the summer of 2022, she graduated from the Summer Music Academy in Kroměříž under the direction of soprano Kateřina Kňežíková, from where she received the Academy Laureate award. She also improved her performance skills at Petr Dvorský's master singing courses in Piešťany (2015, 2016) and acting-singing courses in Žďár nad Sázavou (2012) and in Znojmo (2013).
