Adventní čas s Janáček Ensemble

The concert, which wants to highlight the Advent season with its dramaturgy and recall the compositions of the old masters, will be mostly filled with works for wind harmony, the so-called "Harmonienmusik" - a cast that was very popular with the aristocracy of the 18th century (the first Harmonienmusik was established by Emperor Josef ll). Proof of the popularity of this ensemble at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries is the fact that several hundred compositions were created for this cast. The concert will feature one of the top compositions for wind harmony - Mozart's "Gran Partita" for 13 wind instruments. The concert takes place in the beautiful and acoustically interesting hall of the Museum of Applied Arts in Brno.
