Advent classics within historic walls
Concert by the L`ORCHESTRA I SEDICI
27 years ago the Italian maestro Luigi Sagrestano founded the string orchestra I SEDICI. Always looking for the perfect sound and musical development. The fact that music connects across borders is not just an empty phrase at I Sedici, but rather a lived reality. The 16 exceptional musicians, international prize winners, from various European nations, always bring a piece of their own history to the orchestra. Cultural influences and individual characteristics come together to form an exciting whole.
The virtuoso ensemble has captivated listeners during its numerous guest appearances at home and abroad. Under the direction of the Romanian concertmaster Petru Lupan, a young international collective makes music enthusiastically, cheekily and precisely. An energetic, exciting, musical fireworks display.
Compositions by Corelli, Vivaldi, Mozart, Sibelius and Dvorák can be heard at the Advent concert in the historic Ballhaus Wedding on Sunday, December 14th. In order to complete the sound experience, “I Sedici” carefully selects the concert halls, preferably houses with history: princely halls, castles or architecturally attractive things. The music also needs the right space. Great classical music in a magnificent setting!
