On Saturday, May 24, Africadelic celebrates 50 years of independence of Angola and we honor the rich musical tradition that entails stories of resistance and resilience. An opportunity to experience Angolan culture up close, to feel the rhythm and discover the stories behind this iconic music.
The evening starts with a talk with Paulo Flores, a legend in Angolan music. He shares stories and explains how Kizomba originated and then it is time to apply the knowledge in practice. Participate in the Semba and Kizomba workshops for all levels. Whether you just start, want to improve your moves or are already advanced, everyone can participate. After the workshops, the party continues with a social, where a DJ creates the perfect atmosphere and you get the chance to practice, try and especially enjoy it. Then Paulo Flores returns to the stage for a live concert with his band. Together they take you on a musical trip to the authentic sounds of Angola, with the most beautiful Semba and Kizomba music. Did you not dance yet? The Afterparty takes place in the basement until the late hours!
