The Natural Science Club in Brno, the Institute of Biology of the Vertebrates of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Moravian Museum invites its members and supporters to the lecture cycle 2024/2025

Tropical Africa. There is a huge biological diversity that will not sleep to our scientists. African mammals are also a very diverse group, the most famous are large ungulates and beasts, but far most species are among rodents and insectivores. Thus, scientists go to Africa why there are as many species that their evolutionary diversity can affect the risk of new human diseases and how to use the data to protect local nature at risk of rapidly growing human population. You will also learn what such research in the African wilderness is.
