The country's black metal banner-bearer, Afsky, will play in Pumpehuset on 23 November 2024
Afsky is one of the great figures of Danish black metal, Ole Luk's solo project, which is based on traditional black metal mixed with elements from folk music and doom with a mixture of ferocity and melancholy.
Afsky saw the light of day back in autumn 2015, when the first release, an EP of 3 tracks was self-published digitally and later on CD. Since then it has progressed rapidly. Later in the spring, a single followed with a music video, which was later re-released on the EP in vinyl edition by German Vendetta Records. Later followed the first full-length ”Sorg” in 2017, ”Ofte jeg drømer mig død” 2020 and the mono-acoustic EP ”I stilhed” from 2022.
Afsky was not created with the aim of being a live project, but more of a personal one project for Ole Luk. A place where all ideas could come together and become reality. Later, on request, Afsky has become a live band. Over the past few years, Absky has shared stages with bands such as: Wolves in the throneroom, Winterfyltteth, Uada, Mork, Spectral Wound, Mayhem, Panopticon etc
Absky's live crew consists of a changing team of strong forces from the Danish metal scene.
SUNKEN
The Danish black metal band Sunken has been active on the Danish and European scene since 2012. The style is atmospheric black metal, and the sound is characterized by gloomy, melancholic and depressive sound surfaces, dreamy melodies and inspiration from the sea and the surrounding Jutland nature.
At the beginning of 2013 the band recorded the demo "The Crackling of Embers", and in 2017 the band released the long-awaited debut album "Departure". In 2020, Sunken returned with "Livslede", their first release on German Vendetta Records. "Livslede" is the band's most intense, elaborate and honest album to date. Together with producer Johan Emanuel Jørgensen, Sunken has created a beautiful and sad sound universe based on a strong personal foundation, and the result is an emotional journey through anxiety, self-loathing and hopelessness.
