🔸 The first reprise on May 24 at 19.30 (with the author's introduction from 7.00) Kassandra. Women and mate of ancient heroes. While they led states, nations and wars and collected winning laurels, they stood in silence at their side and waited for their opportunity. Today they compete in an ancient agon to choose the one that will win the ultimate leadership, the olive branch and perhaps the heart of Hercules, the greatest of the heroes. Wives, mistresses, mothers, daughters, sisters, servants, but also scientists, witch, seducer, murderer or "traditionwives". Idealized archetypes, or plastic beings with their own opinion, desires, experience and problems?
Ancient tragedy turns into reality show. Why did they enroll in agony, what they fight and what they expect from victory? How many heroines do these heroines have to do with today's Helena, Klytaimnéstra, Penelopami, Médeias and Kassandra? Fight for power and visibility, voice and rose, or a desperate struggle for sovereignty? But isn't agony just a patriarchy set up? The life of a woman as an emancipation race for a leak from the gender myth. Where does the pressure of the outside end and the inner one starts? The past meets the presence in the fight for equalization and fair conditions for all at all times. Can our myths be treated?
The production is created in direct cooperation with members and members of the Hadivadlo ensemble by using the “Devised Theater” method. It draws on Greek mythology according to Robert Graves, various forms of literary reinterpretations of myths and from the book Essejí Šárka Homfray and Michaela Karásek Čejková Why are we (at) chased (Wo -men, 2022).
