About event
Two of the most exciting artists in Berlin, of which You may have never heard of it, playing in the most underground place in this city, which was still able to escape gentrification.
Ahab's Left Leg finds lyrical expression for the contradictory impulses of your mind, for the longing for space, the gentle longing for escalation and the quiet hope for a better tomorrow.
Two brothers with a penchant for clanging grooves and reverberated guitar walls meet a grumpy Ruhrpottjesus on the double bass and a drum wizard from the southern states. Texts full of fine poetry - sometimes subtly threatening, sometimes openly calling for revolution - are brought to life with a mixture of concrete desert folk, seafaring blues and whale song.
CoppiCat lives, solders and makes music in Berlin. He has been observing the changes in the city since his childhood. Sometimes more, sometimes less enthusiastic. When he was thrown out of his self-built studio and workshop on Coppistraße after 14 years because a diving shop wanted the whole building for himself and the landlord gave in, he started his solo music project CoppiCat in 2019 and processed his anger about being thrown out in his songs. In 2022 he released his debut album “Resistances”. CoppiCat is not fooling himself or others: he earns money as an electrical engineer in an audio technology company.
"Laut und Staub" is a living Berlin underground. High ceilings, old walls, industrial charm and DIY sophistication, fat sound and dazzling light. It still exists here, the unpredictable, wild, beautiful Berlin of legends.
So come together, celebrate new discoveries, swim in the sound and revel in an attitude to life that you thought was already lost when Ahab's Left Leg and CoppiCat on December 6th. make the noise and dust vibrate with illustrious guests and new songs.
