AI at Work — Whatever Your Job

Lecture in English with Q&A and real examples.

Artificial intelligence is no longer just a matter for technicians. The participant will learn how to realistically use it in their daily work, regardless of field or technical background.

Davide and Mirco will guide the participant through how AI really works, why it sometimes "lies" and how not to get caught. They will show concrete examples from practice - from smart prompting to automating routine tasks such as meeting notes. There will also be space for questions and discussion.

What the participant will get:

• a basic overview of the history of AI and its context without unnecessary ballast
• an understanding of how AI works and how to recognize when it is inventing
• orientation in what a prompt is and how to use it effectively
• tips on how to use AI for recording, transcribing and summarizing meetings
• insight into generative AI, sustainability and privacy - including responsible use and compliance with European data protection requirements
• a basic overview of the possibilities of running AI locally and working with open-source models

Speakers:
Davide Pollicino is a Software Engineer at Microsoft in Prague, a certified Azure AI Engineer and an enthusiastic supporter of generative AI and LLM models. He works with tools such as OpenAI, Claude or Azure AI, mentors technology professionals on MentorCruise and is a member of the board of the startup TaxCoder.cz.

Mirco Vianello is a Software Engineer at Microsoft in Prague with more than 8 years of experience in IT. He worked on projects for large corporations such as EY or Indra. He is a certified Azure Developer and a specialist in .NET and web technologies.
