✨ What stories would you like to see in the museum? The historical memory of Bratislava - like any city, state or community - is not only stored, but also purposefully forms. History is also created by how they learn, how they interpret, what values ​​and personalities society highlights or, on the contrary, what it warns. He was the creator and director of the scientific institutes of the city of Bratislava (1924 - 1945), which brought together the city archive, museum and scientific library. Experts in scientific institutes have previously developed activities related to the protection and presentation of the urban cultural heritage. They received museum collections, archival documents, literature, prepared several exhibitions and exhibitions from the history of the city. He has been researching and publishing, bringing stories from the history of the city to the general public. He was also aware of the value of the documentary photography. In the scientific institutes, the position of a photographer was a documentary filmmaker who systematically captured the transformation of the city. Faust himself was also an active photographer, creating tens of thousands of shots that are now a unique historical testimony. It contains a large number of items, especially documents that testify to his life and activities. The estate is part of his legacy, which he purposefully created and which he wanted to leave us.
