About event
🧵 The story of the city is not just elites. His form was also shaped by craftsmen 🛠️, artists 🎨, officials and representatives of many professions who participated in its daily functioning.
📍 a series of installations in the courtyard of the old town hall called I am Bratislava*KA is our retrospective - in order to present the stories of “ordinary” people from our collections and show that the museums in the city's memory fix human stories, just realize it.
❓ What stories would you like to see in the museum?
❤️ In the next installation we will introduce one of the first history graduates in Slovakia, Olga Wagnerová (1902 - 1976).
🏛️ contributed fundamentally to the development of the Bratislava City Museum in 1927 - 1941. When it joined, the museum registered approximately 6000 collection items, after its departure there were more than 22,000. In addition to care for the collections and duties of the museum administrator, she organized exhibitions, wrote professional texts and accompanied visitors and important guests.
What was then ensured by a narrow circle of people today develop specialized MMB teams, which build on the foundations created by Wagner's pioneering work.
Installation curator: Jana Jablonická Zezulová
Project curation: Daniel Hupko and Linda Mendelová
