We continue with AJMO! concerts, for the beginning of the year:
NEMEČEK
Nemeček is a musical project that combines hypnotic noise rock with elements of folk music in an innovative way, creating an intense and atmospheric soundscape.
As one portal describes: "Imagine the combination of Kries with the influences of Swans and Lawrence English, you will come close to what Nemeček creates." Combining Slavonian tambourines with modern production techniques, the band builds a Balkan wall of noise that evokes the sounds of the past and hints at future musical horizons.
Vedran Živković (vocals/tambourine), Borna Maksan (drums) and Leo Beslać (keyboards) perform in the band.
In the music of the group Nemeček, we can experience the strong emotional overtones of our spaces, outbursts of rage, and in between atmospheric and even calming instrumentals. It is said that every noise needs silence in order to be loud against it.
2024. was an extremely successful year for Nemeček and the album "Prokletije II", which was positioned at the top of the list of the best albums. Also, 'Nemeček' with the song "Mirila" was last year's winner of the Milan Mladenović award given by the Milan Mladenović Foundation for the best song in the region.
EIKONIOSE
Eikonoise is the name of a conceptual and musical project, founded in 2014 by multimedia artist, music producer and academic painter Bojan Miljančić for the purpose of connecting excellent musicians and artists within visual and contemporary art and multimedia practices.
In musical performances and free improvisations, Eikonoise strives for originality, chance, originality, uniqueness, originality and unrepeatability of expression, going beyond standard genre frameworks. Devoting himself to sound as a primary means of expression and the phenomenon of Eikonoise through group improvisation, synergy, spontaneity, various experimental techniques and means, he opens and explores different new spaces of sonority and possibilities of expression.
Eikonoise is a collage, an organization, a montage, a cut, a moment; reality reduced to a moment that resides between the two nothingnesses of past and future, solitude, instant decision, originality, unrepeatability, elusiveness. Color and sound are two elements in their elusiveness, the dialectic of visible and audible, two beginnings, sources of energy, something that always escapes and disappears from us. Eikonoise relies on its local time, it closes itself in its own intimate duration, solitude, intimacy of consciousness.

'LET'S GO!' is a pilot project, the result of several months of cooperation and planning by the Croatian Music Export Office with the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, which also finances the competition. The goal of the project is to encourage concert activity in smaller communities and support local musicians and organizers in their work.
