Come to the discussion with Eva Kováčovová about what it is like to be a lawyer who can stand up to state power. We will talk to her about her motivation for the study of law, the experience in the field of public interest, the calls to represent judges in disciplinary proceedings and its ethical dilemmas. After obtaining master's degrees from law and ethnology and history at Comenius University in Bratislava in 1999, she started working with Via Iuris. Between 2017 and 2019, it led the Legal Aid Center. It represented clients in cases before the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, including the well -known case of the Pezinok landfill.
