About event
Pedagogical publishing house INFRA Slovakia invites you to a webinar with clinical speech therapist PaedDr. Adelaida Fábianová: HOW ARE OROMOTORIC AND SENSIMOTORIC RELATED TOGETHER? (Introduction to the issue.)
Sensomotorics includes the reception of sensory information from the internal and external environment. These are important for the movement itself, as well as its coordination with perceptual modalities (sight, hearing, touch) and higher mental functions. Oromotorics includes fine movements of the entire articulatory apparatus (lips, sleds, tongue, palate). The storage of the teeth also plays an important role. Weakened oral motor skills should not be assessed separately, but always together with sensorimotor skills and the position of the child's whole body.
Incorrect muscle tension, persistent bad habits and a lack of sensorimotor stimuli contribute to a complex of symptoms that prevent the child from using their full potential in speech, proper breathing and eating.
The webinar will offer a theoretical overview of the given areas and examples of exercises.
We invite kindergarten teachers, parents, special educators, experts in helping professions, but also students of speech therapy or pedagogical fields.
Date: November 27, 2024 (Wednesday). , time: 18.00 – 20.00, zoom platform.
