How to create a positive vision of the future in an increasingly divided world?
How to cooperate even in times of upheavals and where to find faith in the fact that something like positive change is possible at all?
Tomáš and Vlado are among those who in the Czech and Slovak space for the past 15 years have been creating space for topics focused on systemic changes in the fields of culture, business, education and community building.
Whereas in 2010-2020 opportunities for collaboration across industries and interests were opening everywhere and everything seemed possible, today we are surprised by the increasing "atomization". It's as if no one can work with anyone anymore because everyone has some "wrong opinion" or is associated with the "wrong people". The situation is becoming more and more serious, because the challenges we face in all areas require exactly what is so difficult for us today - cooperation. It is necessary to rediscover higher, overarching themes and values that can unite us and inspire the much-needed social renewal.
We organized this discussion to talk about our current situation, where does today's division come from and, above all, how to get out of it - how to start creating the foundations of a healthy world in which it is a joy to live.
Tomáš Hajzler professionally deals with topics such as the liberation of work from employment, economic democracy, localization of life and the future of business. He brought the Freedom at Work movement and the concept of free companies to the Czech Republic, co-founded the Slusná firma community of organizations and the PeopleComm publishing house. He is the author of several books. He participated in the launch of several projects on the topic of "return to food", volunteered for years at his children's school and supported and continues to support several movements whose vision is to increase social and environmental justice. Vlado Lobotka is a cultural innovator with a passion for system innovations, integral philosophy, depth psychology and research into the life cycles of civilizations. In the Czech and Slovak areas, it develops innovative forms of education focused on creative work with civilizational challenges.
