"Did you know that your client's chronic back pain or constant fatigue can be a direct result of his executions?" The client doesn't just have to "complain", his body really reacts to the difficult life situation that you as social workers deal with.
Within the course "Fundamentals of psychosomatics for the helping professions", great emphasis is placed on social workers acquiring practical methodological tools that they can immediately start using in their daily practice, especially during individual planning and social investigation.
You will practice recognizing your own somatic signals of exhaustion, which is an essential tool for maintaining professional fitness and preventing burnout.
All these skills are designed to increase the quality of social counseling and direct care without the worker going beyond their competence towards psychotherapy.
